Afghanistan #7 – The Chaos Continues

In a recent video, I said “From now on, you’ll never be comfortable again.”
Or something like that. You can see the video here:

Marketing Tips From Afghanistan – Dave Kotecki

Well, that’s just the truth, especially if you’re gonna make it with your online marketing business.

Most of my life has been different variations of controlled chaos. Maybe that’s why I understand the concept. From the Army, to driving a truck, and working on government contracts supporting the Armed Forces here in Afghanistan as well as in the States, I’ve never really had a “normal” job.

That’s cool. You don’t want to get bored. Being bored is the first step towards depression, if you ask me. Everything just seems dull when you’re bored with your work. And forget about moving ahead. Nobody got anywhere without at least a little enthusiasm for what they were doing.

As usual, things here are in a constant state of change. There’s really no point in getting stuck on any particular way of doing things, because circumstances will change, and you’ve really got no choice but to roll with the punches or find a new environment to work in.

That’s what I meant about never being comfortable again.

Over and over you’ll hear people talk about getting out of your “comfort zone”. I’m here to tell you that’s not really accurate. At least not for anyone who intends to make money online, whether you’re a network marketer or an affiliate. Because if you want to be in business for yourself, you can kiss comfort goodbye. You’ll never be comfortable again. Any day your comfortable, is a day you didn’t push yourself. That’s a day you got nothing done. Too many of those, and you’re out of business.

So embrace the chaos.
The good times are on the other side.

Dave I listened to a training last night about this very topic. The message was very simply paraphrased “If you are unhappy it’s because your mind is not actively engaged in something that challenges you to find a better zone.” They referred to it as being in the “flow”. When you are in the flow, all and any tasks become easy, distractions are non-existent, you’re focused, almost ecstatic and you radiate positivity.
Comfort zone doesn’t become a factor at that time does it? You’re just in the FLOW.
Great reading and lessons here Dave.
    Thanks for publishing.

I’ve heard it called “Being In The Zone”. Whatever you call it, you know what it is.
It’s when you’re lost in the task at hand to the point that you could actually
step out of the situation and watch yourself perform at your peak ability.
    It’s a great feeling.
    Thanks Joyce.
